Vaarnii founded in Finland by Antti Hirvonen and Miklu Silvanto makes furniture from a single raw material: Finnish pine. Built by local craftspeople in Finland with the collective creative skills of its collaborators from across the globe – Cecilie Manz, Dimitri Bähler, Faye Toogood, Fredrik Paulsen, Henrik Tjaerby, Industrial Facility, Kwangho Lee, Livia Lauber, Mac Collins, Max Lamb, Philippe Malouin, Ronan Bouroullec, Sarah Kaye Rodden, Soft Baroque and Studiomama.

Artek Kori Collection

The Kori Collection, designed by Stockholm-based TAF Studio, offers a skilful interplay of direct and indirect light. In Finnish, Kori means ‘basket’, and speaks of the intelligent core element designed to create a warm, generous atmosphere through soft and diffuse light, ensuring its suitability for a wide variety of applications.

With a compact form reminiscent of a lighthouse, the flexible Kori Table Light is ideal as a reading light on a surface alongside a bed or armchair, or as an accent light on a shelf or sideboard. The Kori Collection’s unique ‘basket’ creates a direct, glare-free uplight, as well as distributing a wider cone of diffuse indirect light beneath, providing both practicality and atmosphere.
