Iria Degen was born in Switzerland in 1969 and first studied law at the University of Zurich. After her studies, however, she decided to go to Paris to train as an interior designer at the Ecole Camondo. There she worked for the renowned interior design office of Andrée Putman as project manager. Since February 2000 Iria Degen has been self-employed with offices first in Paris and since 2003 in Zurich. Her style is characterised by simple forms, subtle colours, timeless design and high quality natural materials. Iria Degen works internationally and is also very active in professional associations.
